in front of my screen
extending with gravity.
Six stamens
reach further,
the yellow pollen
suspended from the
starfish-like petals,
six in soft white
arching back
to punctuate the nectar.
Friday brings thanks for
such graceful,
delicate florets
decorating
this helter-skelter
prolific plant.
